Following the removal of Raufu Olaniyan as deputy governor of Oyo State, Governor Seyi Makinde is expected to nominate Bayo Lawal, current chairman of the state housing corporation as a replacement.
Lawal, a lawyer, and former commissioner under the administration of late former governor Lamidi Adesina.
The Kisi-born politician was the candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in the 2019 senatorial election in Oyo North which was won by AbdulFatai Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
