There’s a little political difference between Governors Seyi Makinde and Nyesom Wike, especially in their roles in undermining the PDP during the last elections.

Both leaders supported the southern presidency narrative, possibly to justify their anti-party actions.

While Wike faces intense criticism, possibly due to his ministerial appointment and outspoken nature, Makinde appears to have avoided similar backlash despite acting in the same manner.

In the same spirit, Makinde received indirect rewards through a federal appointment, which was given to his loyalist, TEGBE, who contested and lost the senatorial seat in the election, and maybe some other silent appointments that are not known to the public.

Can we argue that Tegbe’s appointment has no Makinde’s connection with President Tinubu, or is not a member of PDP who is serving under the APC administration?

Just like other PDP defectors are equally complicit but less vocal than Wike, maybe that is why WIKEthe heavy critics are only for WIKE.

Let me conclude by saying, the Makinde presidential ambition is never a serious one, it is more or less a joke, not because he can’t come out but, it is another way of working for Tinubu’s re-election.
