Businesses are down, and there has been a difficult means of transaction for almost a month since the CBN policy on new and old naira notes issues began.
Earlier this morning, people have come out in large numbers in some major parts of Ibadan to protest against fuel and naira scarcity within Ibadan, people were seeing at Iwo Road, monatan, 7up, and iyana church area of ibadan protesting over this current situation in the country.
Speaking to one of the protesters, he said, “the country is stagnant and people are tired of the situation, We can’t buy fuel at normal price, and we can’t access our money in the banks. We have to queue for hours and that does not guarantee that we will go home with cash”
Another protester said we can’t continue like this, we are tired.
As the men of Nigerian police tried to curb and speak to people at monatan/7up axis of Ibadan, the protesters were seen shouting and not ready for any talk.
