Greatness Is in Conduct, Not Just in Titles

A self-acclaimed big man, a personality and a role model should be able to lead by example in society, and the first thing is to obey the rules in the country, or of the organisation or what have you.

That’s what a role model does. A role model should not be found where matters are escalating rather than putting an end to it.

Aside from all that, Wasiu Ayinde holds three important recognition awards, worthy enough, MON, Mayegun of Yoruba, and course, one of the biggest royal traditional titles in Ijebuland, Olori omo Oba Ijebu, I am sure that whatever those titles stand for are big enough to comport oneself in public, to start with a simple rule.

A 68-year-old man, if not a billionaire is a millionaire, had a successful music career, blessed in and out, commands respect among his peers, a father, grandfather and great-grandfather should be able to lead by example if not for anything but, his family in general.

When one is getting old, certain habits are expected of someone, even out of provocation, some will say, You can’t tell an adult how to react to an issue out of provocation, yes but, not to give leverage to be used against you, if you are on the right course.

Some big men in Nigeria, those in suits and agbada can not survive in another country because they are used to the anyhowness in our country, reason some of them see themselves as demi-god in some situation, and when they see who confront them and wanting to change the status quo of “Do you know who I am”, they loose it and go Gaga because they are asking them to do the right thing.
