One of the constituents of Oyo East and West State House Constituency being represented by Hon. Oloruntopo Rahman, Sodiq Ajibade, has written an open letter to the honourable, charging him to be steadfast in his dealings and work on the good policies that will bring good development to his constituency.
According to him,
Dear Hon. Cephas Rahman Olorunpoto, I take this opportunity to congratulate you as the newly elected member of the Oyo State House of Assembly. As a member representing Oyo East and West State Constituency, I salute you and look forward to a fruitful tenure of office over the next four years.
Honourable, you may recall your campaign during the electioneering period — and that what the people were asking from you was DEVELOPMENT, a development that brings quality representation, total sanitation and good governance to them. Don’t forget how you trooped to different houses and joints begging for votes and how you promised heaven and earth. Now, is the time we need you to rise to the challenges ahead and show the good stuff you are made of.
I believe you haven’t forgotten that your original mandate is to ensure justice, fairness and freedom for the good people of Oyo East and West as far as policy implementation is concerned. For this reason, I want you to always be for the people who elected you into the House of Assembly by speaking up against what is wrong and endorsing those things that are right. Also, You can always declare your stands unequivocally on the floor of the House and not on the social media platform.
Finally, for whatever reasons you were elected, one thing is certain, you must begin to do things differently for your communities, and to collaborate more with the leadership of the House of Assembly including its departments and also with the State Government to deliver development to the people. This is important because the journey towards the end of four years begins now.
