Early on Tuesday night, the residents of Ibadan, the Oyo state capital all panicked as an explosion rocked the major parts of the City which caused serious concerns for the residents.
The reports.ng confirmed that some major areas that were affected are Bodija and the environment, with damages in some homes, worship centres, schools, eateries and hotels, with several causalities unknown.
Quoting an X (Twitter ) user, who narrates his loss and gives an account of what happened via his handle @Hon_Danjo, “ The massive explosion that just happened in Ibadan destroyed a lot of things.
I have counted my loss.
My school’s ceiling came down.
A car packed in front of the school has all its glasses broken.
Prayers are with Bodija entrepreneurs.
Tommorrow now, I don enter gbese”
As of the time of this report, the reason behind the heavy destructive wave hasn’t been confirmed, and no one has been able to confirm whether it was a bomb or gas explosion.
