At exactly 11:27AM, Monday, 18th of July, 2022, Deputy Governor Raufu Aderemi Olaniyan was removed from office by the Oyo state house of assembly.
Oyo State House of Assembly on Monday, impeached the Deputy Governor of the state, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan.
The assembly had served the deputy governor with a notice of impeachment over alleged gross misconduct, abuse of office, and financial recklessness, among others.
The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Debo Ogundoyin, said the investigative panel set up weeks ago found the deputy governor guilty of the charges against him.
