An Oyo State High Court sitting in Ogbomoso has on Wednesday nullified the selection and installation of Oba Ghandi Olaoye as the new Soun of Ogbomoso.
Oyo State Government had announced Olaoye as the new Soun and the kingmakers of the town installed him on September 8, 2023.
However, Prince Kabir Olaoye, one of the contenders for the Soun of Ogbomoso stool, had dragged Gandhi to court, saying he was not eligible for the position of Soun of Ogbomoso before his pronouncement as the new Soun Ogbomoso by the Oyo state government.
