A former lawmaker, Bolaji Badmus, who represented the Akinyele state constituency II during Late ajimobi’s second term administration between 2015-2019 under the APC platform has defected to APC.
He was among the lawmakers that left APC as a result of the feud in the party in 2019, he then moved to ADC together with some prominent members of the party. He contested under his new party for the same position in 2019 and lost the seat.
He and others who moved out of the APC to form a coalition with PDP in 2019 that brought Seyi Makinde into power.
Quoting OyoInsight, According to Badmos, he joined APC because he has always been a fan of Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the APC in next month’s election. He added that he was happy to be reunited with his old progressive family, adding that he would team up with others to ensure victory for Tinubu and other candidates of the party in the coming elections.
”Let it be clear, I have always been an enthusiast of Asiwaju and I believe that my impact will fully be felt working for him and other APC candidates in the same party,
He indicated the majority of his colleagues neither received patronage nor recognition from Makinde while they were in the PDP.
“Let it be known that myself and a lot of my colleagues did not receive any patronage and recognition from both Governor Seyi Makinde and the PDP as a party, hence my movement back home which is the APC,” he said.
