Fresh political intrigue has enveloped Oyo State following the removal of a billboard bearing the images of President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in the state, Senator Sharafadeen Alli

Mogaji Abass Oloko has painted his office building at Isale Alfa in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, in APC colours.

Recall that a viral video showed Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, in a conversation with Mogaji Abass Oloko, a political ally of the governor, over the billboard located at Isale Alfa, Ibadan.

In the video, Makinde was heard telling Oloko that he would unveil the person who would succeed him as governor and that the preferred candidate’s image would appear on the billboard by January 2027.

The billboard later displayed the images of Tinubu and Alli, a development that generated widespread reactions within political circles, particularly because of Oloko’s political association with the governor.

However, our correspondent observed that the billboard has now been replaced with Governor Seyi Makinde and APM governorship candidate, Bimbo Adekanmbi’s banner.

Further checks showed that the office building located within the same axis has been painted in the green, white, blue and red colours associated with the APC, a development that has reignited political discussions ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
