Following the resolution of the Oyo East Legislative arm led by Hon. Okunade Idowu to suspend the Chairman, Oyo East Local Government, Hon. Saheed Adeyemi Arowosaye, and the Vice Chairman, Hon. Bamise Alabi with immediate effect on Tuesday, 25th of April, 2023, the Vice Chairman and Political Head of Oyo South East Local Government, Prince Bamise Alabi has this morning handed over the affairs of the LCDA to the Assistant Head of Local Government Administration in compliance with the House resolution.
In his words, “I have resolved to be bound by the intervention of the appropriate authorities knowing fully well that I have nothing to hide”
It is on record that the Legislative Arm has been engaging the Chairman, Hon. Saheed Arowosaye, and the Vice Chairman since February 2023 on issues of financial misappropriation, lack of transparency, gross misconduct, and other issues.
